Why replace a missing tooth

Tooth loss affects more than your smile

Left untreated, a missing tooth causes the jawbone underneath to gradually shrink, leading to a chain of problems:

  • Difficulty chewing, which can affect digestion
  • Neighboring teeth shifting, causing bite problems
  • Jawbone loss, leading to a sunken, aged appearance
  • Unclear speech and lower confidence when talking
The proven solution

Implants — trusted for more than 50 years

A dental implant replaces the missing tooth root with a biocompatible titanium post, topped with a porcelain crown. It is a more predictable, longer-lasting solution than a traditional bridge or root canal-supported crown.

Benefits of dental implants

Why implants are the leading option for missing teeth

Compared with a dental bridge or removable dentures, implants deliver better long-term chewing function and jawbone health.

01

No damage to healthy teeth

An implant stands on its own — no need to grind down neighboring teeth as with a bridge.

02

Prevents jawbone loss

The implant fuses with the bone, preserving bone density just like a natural tooth root.

03

Restores chewing power

Eat firmer, chewier foods comfortably without worrying about slipping.

04

Natural-looking result

The porcelain crown is shaped and shaded to blend in with your smile.

05

Long-term durability

Can last for many years, even a lifetime, with good hygiene and regular checkups.

06

No daily removal needed

Care for it like a natural tooth — no removable-denture hassle.

Treatment process

How long does a dental implant take?

A standardized clinical process, personally overseen by our dedicated implant specialist from consultation through to the final crown.

1

Exam & CT scan

Assess jawbone volume and plan your treatment. About 30-45 minutes.

2

Implant placement

Under local anesthesia, the titanium post is placed into the jawbone — gentle and minimally invasive.

3

Osseointegration

2-4 months (lower jaw) or 4-6 months (upper jaw) for the implant to fully bond with the bone.

4

Final crown

The finished porcelain crown is fitted, with regular checkups to ensure long-term durability.

Is it right for you

Dental implants for special cases

Implants can be performed safely for most patients — including older adults or those with underlying conditions — once those conditions are well managed.

Seniors

Safe when overall health is stable and there is enough jawbone density; bone grafting can be added if needed.

Patients with diabetes

Still possible with well-controlled blood sugar (HbA1c under 7%), supporting proper healing.

Patients with high blood pressure

Safe when blood pressure is well managed with medication, with close monitoring during surgery.

Patients with bone loss

Bone grafting, sinus lifts, or All-on-4/6 techniques can be used to minimize the need for extra grafting.

Honest advice before you fly

What can affect implant success

Most patients are suitable candidates, but a few factors raise the risk of complications. We review them openly at your consultation so we can plan around them — or advise you to wait.

Smoking & nicotine

Smoking reduces blood flow to the gums and bone, slows healing, and is linked to a higher risk of implant failure and gum infection around the implant. We strongly advise stopping before surgery and throughout healing — ideally for good. Smokers are not automatically excluded; we assess each case.

Untreated gum disease

Active gum infection must be treated first, because bacteria can spread to the implant site.

Teeth grinding (bruxism)

Heavy grinding overloads implants and crowns. A custom night guard may be recommended.

Medical history & medication

Please bring a list of your medications and recent medical reports — especially if you take bone-strengthening drugs, blood thinners, or have had jaw radiation therapy.

Long-term success also depends on daily hygiene and regular check-ups. Being open about your smoking and medical history helps us give you an accurate plan and quote, and protects your investment.

Savings that cover your trip

For most treatment plans, the difference can pay for your flights and stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

* Home-country figures are typical published ranges for a single implant including abutment and crown, before bone grafting or extractions, and vary by clinic and city. Your saving depends on the implant brand, crown material and any extra procedures, and is confirmed in your written, no-hidden-fees quote after examination.

Global implant warranty for dental tourism patients

Genuine implant fixtures (Straumann, Nobel Biocare and other partner brands) carry the manufacturer's global warranty, so you're covered even after you fly home. See how it works and what's included.

Implants vs. dentures

Which one actually saves you more?

Upfront price isn't the only thing worth weighing — look at the long-term cost of ownership too.

Removable dentures

  • Lower upfront cost
  • Chewing force only 30-40% of a natural tooth
  • Does not prevent jawbone loss
  • Needs relining or replacement within a few years
  • Inconvenient daily removal and cleaning

Dental implants

  • Higher upfront investment
  • Chewing power close to 100% of a natural tooth
  • Effectively prevents jawbone loss
  • Lasts 15-20 years or longer, fewer repairs
  • Cared for like a natural tooth, no removal needed

Frequently asked questions

Your dental implant questions, answered

A single implant fixture costs 500-1,200 USD depending on the brand, plus the crown on top. Full-arch (All-on) restorations range from 1,000-4,000 USD per arch. See the pricing table above or contact us for an exact quote for your case.
The procedure is done under local anesthesia, so there's little to no pain during placement. Mild soreness for 1-2 days afterward is normal and manageable with standard pain medication.
Placement itself takes 30-45 minutes. Osseointegration takes 2-4 months (lower jaw) to 4-6 months (upper jaw) before the final crown. Immediate-load implants can carry a temporary tooth the same day.
Yes, for most patients with stable general health. The dentist assesses jawbone density and underlying conditions, adding bone grafting if necessary.
Yes, when blood sugar is well controlled (HbA1c under 7%), which supports healing and reduces infection risk around the implant.
Yes, when blood pressure is well managed with medication. The team monitors blood pressure closely throughout the procedure.
A bone graft or sinus lift may be needed before placement, or techniques like All-on-4/All-on-6 can be used to reduce the amount of grafting required.
Dentures are cheaper upfront but chew less effectively and need replacing every few years as bone shrinks. Implants cost more initially but typically last 15-20+ years, making them more cost-effective over time.
Most overseas patients need two trips: the first (5-7 days) for the exam, 3D scan and implant placement, and the second (3-5 days), 2-6 months later once healing is complete, for the final crown. We plan your treatment schedule in advance so you can book flights and accommodation around it.
Yes — our implant specialist and patient coordination team communicate directly in English throughout your consultation, treatment and follow-up care, so you won't need a translator.
The clinic is on Cach Mang Thang 8 Street, District 10 — a short ride from hotels in District 1, District 3 and District 10. Our team can recommend nearby accommodation once your appointment dates are confirmed.
Often yes, but smoking increases the risk of slow healing, infection and implant failure. We strongly recommend stopping before surgery and during healing, and we assess your gums and bone at the consultation before agreeing a plan. Please tell us honestly about smoking or vaping so we can advise you properly.
Typically around 60–70% less than the usual all-in price of one implant at home (roughly 3,000–6,000 USD in the US, 2,000–3,000 GBP in the UK and 3,000–7,500 AUD in Australia). The exact saving depends on the implant brand, crown material and any extra procedures, and is confirmed in your written quote.
Yes — we accept Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. Your coordinator will explain the payment schedule for your treatment plan when you confirm your appointment.
